Munich International is situated on the north-eastern side of Munich, just off the A92, and is connected to four motorway exits. Access to the airport can be gained easily from any point in the city.
The airport is close to Freising and Marzling, which lies to the north, and Hallbergmoos to the south. Also close by is Erding and Oberding to the south-east, and Neufahrn bei Freising and Mintraching to the south-west. Along all routes, the complex is clearly signposted.
Directions to Munich International (MUC) from the north of the city:
- From Obershleissheim take the A92 (E53) all the way to the airport.
Directions to Munich International Airport (MUC) from the south of the city:
- From Oberhaching take the A99 north to north-west until it meets the A92
- Follow the A92 all the way to the airport
Directions to Munich International Airport (MUC) from the east of the city:
- From Kirchheim take the A99 north-west until it meets the A92
- Follow the A92 all the way to the airport
Directions to Munich International Airport (MUC) from the west of the city:
- From Grafelfing take the A96 to the city centre
- From Munich city centre follow the signs for the A9
- Take the A9 north until it meets with the A92 at which point turn right
- Follow the A92 all the way to the airport
