Airport Hotels and Accommodation
(Munich, Germany)
Serving the four municipalities of Freising, Oberding, Hallbergmoos and Marzling, Munich International Airport (MUC) is a busy airport facilitating air travel for nearly 38 million passengers per year. The dual-terminal operation sees daily flights to regional, domestic, EU and international destinations.
Many passengers arrive with leisure agendas only, but a good many also come for business purposes. Munich therefore offers a large selection of accommodation and hotels, with several situated within minutes of the airport.

Munich: City Hotels and Accommodation
Accommodation in central Munich is abundant and can be found approximately 27 km / 17 miles to the south-west of Munich International Airport (MUC). Every category of lodging is available in the city, although mid-range hotels tend to be fairly expensive, particularly during the summer high-season, when prices rise considerably.
Hotels are also extremely busy and pricey during the popular Oktoberfest beer festival. This annual event is held each year at the beginning of October and attracts large crowds, which quickly fill any available accommodation in and around the city of Munich.
There are around 300 hotels and 'pensions' peppered throughout Munich, with the largest number being situated around the southern part of the Hauptbahnhof. Although accommodation in this part of the city is generally good value for money, the district can be a little noisy at night. Further hotels are located in Schwabing and centred around the city's university campus, on the southern side of Munich, close to a host of bar and dining venues.
Those wishing to stay in the very heart of Munich will find that most hotels here are four and five star, with luxurious rooms and surroundings to match the price. Providing the perfect lodging for visitors on a budget, a number of youth hostels offer both dormitory beds and separate, basic rooms.
